Project in West Nepal - Introduction

The implementation of the Shangrila Community Based Integrated Development Programs , extends the existing projects of the Shangrila International School (SIS), the Shangrila Vocational Training Center (SVTC) and the Shangrila Orphanage Home (SOH) supporting so far 1250 children. The focus of this new projects lies on the lasting improvement of the villagers' living standards in the rural municipalities of West Nepal.

SCBIDP Project in Westnepal (620 kB) In this project in West Nepal, the least developed region of the country, our Nepalese partner organization Shangrila involves a local institute - the Karnali Technical School (KTS) - and the rural municipalities actively into the project conversion.

The development of competences and the improvement of the population's living standard, and the practical usage of the Karnali Technical School's students' knowledge are the main objective in these participation oriented 'OUTREACH' programs.
