Gambia - Kitchen & dining hall for the Dindingo kindergarten
The Dindingo association from Erfurt built and runs a nursery school in Mandinahba in Gambia for the villagers' kids.
In the summer 2004 the campus was enhanced by one structure: a kitchen with cooking stoves with chimneys (!!!) together with a storage room and an ample dining hall for the kids.
Before all the cooking and eating business had been done outdoors under two trees - even during the rainy season.
The new dining hall offers a lot of shade and shelter from the rainfall.
The building was financed by donations of Govinda-members. The 4.200 € were also sufficient for a set of new cooking pots fitting on the new stoves.
